06.08.16 - Wave Planning for Dist. 4 & 5 Pick Up Speed

The next “wave” of activities to deploy iCourt to the remaining courts in Districts 4 and 5 is well underway and is picking up speed.  Blaine, Boise, Camas, Cassia, Elmore, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka and Valley counties will go-live with iCourt in April 2017. Demonstrations of Odyssey were held for each county at the end of May.  The clerks were given a 2-hour presentation including an iCourt Project overview and demonstration with Odyssey to show core functionality of the new case management system, along with new and exciting features the Odyssey deployment brings for court staff.  The discussion was mostly focused on changes to court operations as they transition to an electronic court record, and some discussion around how external offices will also be affected. The counties were both eager and nervous for the changes the deployment brings; however, strong partnerships are being built with each of the counties as this phase of the project progresses.

The next activities are focused on events where designated clerks from these counties will travel to the Supreme Court to attend “Subject Matter Expert” orientation for hands-on Odyssey basics and orientation in preparation for future configuration workshops.  This end-to-end orientation of the Odyssey application will provide the foundational understanding of Odyssey for these court experts as they prepare for the rest of their implementation activities.
