06.30.16 - Upgrade Coming to iCourt Portal
We are excited to announce an upgrade to the iCourt Portal coming next week, Thursday, July 7th!
Over the course of the last year, we know there have been challenges, alongside the benefits you’ve seen from the pilot launch of the iCourt project. We have appreciated the willingness, patience and partnership you, our Justice Partners, have extended since the Portal went live in Twin Falls County in June of 2015. We have worked with many of you to capture concerns and areas of frustration as we transition away from the Data Repository to the new system. To that end, the Idaho Supreme Court has worked with Tyler Technologies to provide feedback on what we’ve heard from you and we have also asked to be early adopters to all new functionality, once we feel it is stable and safe to share out. We are working hard to ensure that the most critical usability needs are prioritized as best we can and we will continue to work toward providing you with a more efficient and capable online tool.
With that, we’ve summarized a few new features below that we are particularly excited to launch in our upgrade next week. The iCourt Portal upgrade to version 3.0 brings with it new features that address usability issues and provide new functionality, including:
1. User Interface: completely new user interface for ease in navigation, searching, and printing:
a. Including “jump” or “quick click” navigation menus to jump right to the section of the case/party record you want to see quickly, and
b. Fully expanded portlets on search results to reduce number of clicks to quickly see full case and party details, and
c. Selective printing to allow a choice of what information you print vs. printing the entire case record
2. Public Documents: available for download and viewing for the following groups:
a. Attorney General
b. Department of Health and Welfare
c. Prosecutors
d. Public Defenders
e. Law Enforcement
Please visit our Portal Training & Resources section to learn more about the transition, providing tips and tricks for searching for cases, hearings, warrants, and protection orders. These self-paced learning modules are available 24/7, to be viewed at your convenience. We believe they will be a valuable tool to share within your offices and further ensure each user has access to the resources they need throughout the transition of the project and for this upgrade.
Again, we appreciate your continued support and partnership as we work together to move justice forward!
